Kia and Hyundai emissions issues are in the news in relation to reported investigations and premises raids that have been covered in the media in recent weeks.
It is understood that allegations have been raised that the car manufacturers may have allegedly used “defeat device” technology in some 200,000 vehicles. This story is not the first in relation to premises raids and investigations into carmakers over potential emissions fraud, with these issues being ongoing since 2015.
In England and Wales, you could be eligible to pursue an emissions compensation claim on a No Win, No Fee basis with us here now.
Kia and Hyundai emissions under investigation
Kia and Hyundai emissions issues have hit the media in recent times in relation to the wider global “Dieselgate” scandals that stem from the Volkswagen cheating saga from 2015.
According to Car Mag website, it is understood that Kia and Hyundai emissions issues are being investigated in Germany where multiple premises have reportedly been raided. The media coverage suggests that some form of emissions fraud is being looked into for some 200,000 vehicles sold prior to 2020.
Whilst this matter relates to investigations in Germany, we often cover and comment on the wider Dieselgate allegations and news stories. When the first allegations against Volkswagen were raised some seven years ago, we said right from the beginning that we knew that other manufacturers would also be under the spotlight. Whilst carmakers continue to strenuously deny that they have done anything wrong, we are now in a situation where hundreds of thousands of people are claiming compensation against dozens of vehicle manufacturers.
Allegations vary between different carmakers, but they all stem around the potential that emissions regulations are being cheated.

This is on the basis of allegations that regulations may have been broken here which again, as we said above, is something that the carmakers strenuously deny.
Nevertheless, we believe that there is enough information for us to investigate cases which is exactly what we are doing. We represent thousands of people engaged in emissions actions against multiple carmakers, and we may be able to help you too.
